Steven Martin to public a book of tweets
+
Los Angeles - Acclaimed comedian-turned-actor Steve Martin is making a book out of his tweets. Martin’s book is expected to be published next year.
City Press informs that Steve Martin announced working on his book via a tweet on Thursday, October 27, saying he is soon to publish a book due to “absolutely no demand”. Beside Martin’s tweets, the book will include replies of his Twitter followers of which he has more than 1.7 million.
Martin’s would-be book is rather slim, only 112 pages, reports PC World. Scheduled for publishing in June 2012 by Grand Central Publishing, the book is titled The Ten, Make That Nine, Habits of Very Organized People. Make That Ten. All profits from the book will go to charity, as notes Martin’s tweet.
One of Martin’s witty followers on twitter, Benjamin Mora, of Toronto, asked via tweet why he would want to read Martin’s book of tweets when he could simply read his tweets online. Martin’s reply was that he’ll be editing out the “garbage”, to which Mora tweeted back with “surely there will be no pages to this book!"
Reuters notes that Steve Martin’s novel The Object of Beauty, published last year, became a New York Times bestseller. Martin’s latest theatrical performance is The Big Year (released October 2011) about a group of bird watchers out for spotting the rarest birds in America.

Do you think this book will sell good?

Well, it won't be popular due to me buying it! I don't even read tweets online or get them sent to me. It's just too much to keep track of - email, voice mail, texts, and Facebook. I don't want another option to be overwhelmed by! No matter how much of a genius Steve Martin is.
