How to Setup Video Calling Feature in Facebook

Facebook has finally added video calling feature to its instant messaging service, along with group chat. Group chat allows users to chat with multiple friends at once. All you have to do is add friends from the icon present on the upper right corner of the chat screen. Another feature and more talk about one that is added to Facebook, the video chat, which is powered by Skype.

To enjoy the video chat service, you are required to go through a little process.
Here are the steps to setup video call service:

    1. Login to Facebook.

    2. Now go to https://www.facebook.com/videocalling.

    3. Click on “Get Started”.

    4. Now go to a friend’s profile page (online).

    5. Click the “Call” button at the top-right side of the profile page.

    6. Click “Setup”.

    7. Wait until download and installation completes.

Now you can video call any Facebook friend, but remember that even your friend has to install the plugin, else you cannot view his cam.

Note: Facebook video calling only works with Windows and Mac.

    Thanks.
This is a good feature, a lot of people on facebook I know would just use oovoo or tinychat. But, this gives you an easier option to talk to your friends, family, and associates.

It actually is quite good. I like using Skype over it, but if your not a fan of installing and registering for another thing, then you're better off using the Facebook video chat. It isn't the best quality, but it sure works pretty good! I'm glad they released this feature to the public, finally!

Isn't it based around Skype? I'd much rather just use Skype to be honest.
