Facebook and Skype Team Up To Bring video chat, say reports
Facebook is reportedly planning this week to team up with Skype to start video chat features to millions of users.
It would mean that Facebook members already familiar with features like status updates and photos, sharing news stories and sending messages through their profiles, would be able to video chat live with other members.
The news was announced by a respected technology blog, TechCrunch, the story written by its editor, Michael Arrington, a celebrity in the circles of social media around the world."Next week, says a source with knowledge of the partnership, Facebook introduced a new product video chat Powered by Skype.
Google recently launched a social network (Google +) features a video chat (called Hangouts), which allows users to chat one-on-one or in groups of up to 10. PCWorld predicts that this feature could grow into a "serious competition" for Skype. Facebook currently does not offer a video chat feature
There has also been speculation that Facebook may have several other rumors works-in-progress to announce, as an official iPad app, or even the super-secret project spartan mobile project.
Whatever is coming, lets wait and see..
